The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame 9-11

VIEW IN EDSHED

The characters in this story have a unique mix of animal and human traits. While they converse like humans, each creature retains its distinctive animal habits. Moley is a thoughtful chap who loves spending time at home, Ratty is a charmer who enjoys a life of leisure, Toady is a wealthy and boastful control freak, and Mr. Badger is a firm and considerate friend. Together, they have adventures and muse on the nature of life.

The Wind in the Willows is often described as two separate books in one. Some chapters deal with the riveting adventures of Toady, and others take a much slower and more emotional journey. From fear and awe to nostalgia and kindness, this Wonderful book uses animal insight to showcase the nature of humanity
