Woolf by Alex and Patrick Latimer

VIEW IN EDSHED

Born half wolf and half sheep, young Woolf must decide whether he’s part of the pack or part of the flock. Or perhaps he’s part of something even better?

Woolf’s dilemma is told with humour and beautifully bold illustrations. Gorgeous block of teal, black, greens and cream are used effectively – the dark, foreboding forest is particularly atmospheric and engrossing. Woolf is a lovely creation too – cunning, brave, clever and curious.

This wonderful story ends with a poignant message, perfect for younger children: true friends accept and love you for who you are and you shouldn’t have to change for anyone. This is certainly a lovely story about fitting in and standing out, about being special and different and finding your own way in life.
