VIEW IN EDSHED

A young boy named Felix finds himself living in a Polish orphanage during 1942.  He has a secret to keep, he is not an orphan like the other children, he Jewish and his parents left him in the orphanage for safety.  His parents are still alive but Felix does not know where they are.  Felix sets off to find them and the story of his adventure is almost unbelievable.  Felix saves a girl called Zelda from a burning house, leaving her dead parents behind.  The duet are shot at by Nazi's as they try to escape the city but are taken under the wing of a dentist called Barney, a jewish dentist who helps and hides many children from the Nazis.  The children are packed onto a train to one of the camps that they have heard about in Barney's stories. Together Felix and Zelda jump from the train and avoid the gunfire.  They wonder what life will throw at them next.  Their story continues in the series' next book, Then.
