Matilda Wormwood, some people would say, is a gifted child however, her parents treat her with disdain. She manages to get her revenge on them though by playing pranks on them. When Matilda begins school, she quickly develops a strong bond with her teacher Miss Honey and watches on in horror as the Head Teacher of the school, Miss Trunchbull, terrorises the students. Matilda discovers that she has an extraordinary gift – use uses her powers to exact revenge on her parents and Miss Trunchbull in order to gain a ‘happily ever after’ ending.
